Behaviour support practitioner

Grace is one of our behaviour support practitioners in Sydney, and she brings a bright, encouraging energy to everything she does. She works mostly with children, adolescents and young people, particularly those with autism or intellectual disability, and she also supports young adults as they take their next steps into work or supported accommodation, building the skills, supports and environments that help them live the lives they want.

At the heart of Grace's practice is a simple conviction: there is always something that can help. She focuses on helping people find ways to communicate, lead full lives, advocate for themselves, and take an active part in navigating their most challenging moments, rather than having those moments managed around them.

Grace is in the fifth year of a double degree at Macquarie University, a Bachelor of Psychology alongside a Bachelor of Cognitive and Brain Sciences, and she brings that scientific grounding to her work: careful assessment, an eye for what the data is saying, and strategies tested against real life rather than assumed.

She works closely with families, schools and support teams to create environments where people can thrive.
