Behaviour support practitioner

Rebekah is one of our behaviour support practitioners on the Gold Coast. She is completing her Bachelor of Psychology with Honours at Griffith University, with a minor in clinical and counselling psychology, and has picked up a series of academic excellence awards along the way.

Her path into behaviour support has been hands on from the start: crisis support with Lifeline, adventure based youth work grounded in trauma informed practice, and direct disability support work. She has spent years meeting people in hard moments with patience and steadiness, and it shows in how she practises.

As a registered behaviour support practitioner, Rebekah works with participants and families to understand what behaviour is communicating, builds person centred plans grounded in careful assessment and data, and coaches families and support teams so strategies actually hold up in daily life. Reducing restrictive practices and building skills sit at the centre of her work.
